New Property Manager joins to ensure 'highest standards' are met for landlords and tenants as business expands

Gro Residential Management has added a new property manager to its team to ensure it maintains the highest standards of service for both property landlords and tenants as the business continues to expand.

Having doubled the number of properties managed across Yorkshire over the past two years, the business, which now has offices in Hull and York, has again added to its team, recruiting property lettings expert Sophie Tasker.

Bringing more than 10 years’ experience of working in the residential lettings sector, she will oversee crucial daily tasks including planning and arranging maintenance and repairs to properties, inspections and tenant exit reports, acting as a crucial point of communication for both landlords and tenants.

Sophie says the demands of the job have already highlighted just how the business has secured a significant share of the local residential lettings market in recent years.

“I’m delighted to have joined Gro Residential Management as it is a business which has really established an excellent reputation in recent years. It has grown significantly, and continues to grow today as it takes on new properties to manage lettings,” she said.

“It has been non-stop for me since joining, which I think is a reflection of the number of landlords and tenants the business now looks after. The days are so busy, but that has helped me to very quickly settle into the role and get to know our portfolio of properties and clients.

“There’s always something which needs handling for both landlords and tenants.

“My role is to ensure we are managing and maintaining properties to the best possible standard for landlords, whether that be through inspections or repairs and maintenance, whilst also ensuring everything is in hand for tenants, and that we are always on hand to help. I love the job.”

Experienced experts in specialist roles

Helen Everritt, Manager of Gro Residential, says Sophie’s appointment builds upon Chloe Parker taking on a part-time position as a Lettings Administrator last year, ensuring the business has a team of people dedicated to their specialist roles.

“We’re thrilled to have added Sophie to our team and she has already made a really positive impact. She brings experience of the local market in terms of lettings valuations, negotiations and management,” she said.

“Over the past 12 months we’ve experienced significant growth not only across Hull and East Yorkshire, but we are also now becoming known in the York market alongside other businesses within the Garness Group. We’ve made sure we’ve added experience to our team to reflect that growth.

“As we have taken on more and more properties it has been essential for us to employ specialists in the key areas of our work to ensure we maintain the highest standards of service to both landlords and tenants.”

Gro Residential Management is one of four specialist property businesses within the Garness Group, sitting alongside long-established commercial property specialist Garness Jones, Pure Block Management, which manages residential developments on behalf of freeholders, leaseholders and developers, and Barry Crux & Company, a long-established and highly respected licensing and leisure commercial property specialist across York and North Yorkshire.

Amongst the properties currently managed by the Gro Residential in which accommodation is available include The Academy, in George Street, Hull, which boasts a mix of furnished and unfurnished one and two-bedroomed apartments, finished to the highest of standards, and ‘The Bank’ - a landmark building on the corner of George Street and Bond Street in Hull which was recently revamped thanks to £7.4m refurbishment, creating contemporary living spaces in the heart of the city.
