Quality contractors sought to ensure lettings properties are maintained to highest standards for landlords and tenants

Gro Residential Management is now recruiting high-quality contractors to ensure it continues to maintain properties to the highest of standards, benefiting both landlords and their tenants.

Having recently rebranded and invested in new IT systems to improve services and communications with all clients, Property Manager Helen Everritt has now turned her focus to the pool of specialist contractors used to maintain and upgrade properties.

“As a business one of the key services we supply to both our landlords and their tenants is a hassle free maintenance, repair and property refurbishment and upgrade service,” she said.

“Given we manage hundreds of properties on behalf of landlords across Hull and the East Riding, we have a constant stream of jobs which need doing on a day to day basis.

“That is a mix of planned work such as complete refurbishments of houses recently bought by a landlord, improving the quality of vacant properties before they go back onto the rental market to ensure they reach their full potential rental value, or of course reactive repairs when tenants have called our 24-hour emergency service line.”

Scheduled work available as well as reactive repairs

Helen Everritt says contractors, including electricians, plumbers, painters and decorators and handymen and women are required, with the business offering ‘constant, repeat work’.

“The size and demand of our property portfolio makes us a great business to work with for contractors, and due to our continued growth, we offer constant and repeated work,” she said.

“We have reached a stage now where we need a bigger resource of local, reliable contractors who have all their relevant required certifications,” she said.

Gro Residential Management places a focus on supporting landlords to make the best of their property portfolios, with property refurbishments and upgrades part and parcel of the work, alongside emergency call outs for tenants.

“I think some contractors can be put off working in partnership with property lettings management business because they feel it will just be emergency jobs at unsociable hours, but that is certainly not the case with us,” added Helen Everritt.

“We have various amounts of work on behalf of our landlords, from complete upgrades on properties to refurbishments focussed on adding extra rental value, to small day to day repairs.”
